Step 1: Make sure you've got something to prop this door up. 

Step 2: Using a blade similar to a screw-driver, insert it and pry the clip out. 
Step 3: remove the old sturts.
Step 4:  put in new lift support.

Tips: 

Don't compress the lift support by handle. with high pressure, the lift support are hard to be moved.

Q4: Why doesn't the trunk pop up automatically after pressing the key with a new strut?
